Where it all began
Started 2012 in Brighton, BamBooBay was founded out of a shared love of board sports, the great outdoors and enjoying life with friends.
BamBooBay is a ethically conscious clothing company that offers a range of sustainable fabrics to chose from such as Organic Cotton, Bamboo, Recycled and natural materials.
Not satisfied with the production norms of the time, BamBooBay strived to use only high quality sustainable materials and techniques in their production to protect the outdoors that give us all so much. They have taken the brand from the French Alps and South West beaches to the mountains of Canada and have a strong core of BamBooBay Homies Getting Lost in the things they love all around the world.
Sustainability
As a small brand, BamBooBay have always done everything they can to be as environmentally conscious as possible.
They use organic, recycled, natural fibres, water based non toxic inks, wind powered web hosting, no plastic packaging and they are always trying to improve and find new ways to protect the natural world that we love so much.
They believe it should be the standard, the minimum for everyone to protect our planet when they can. We are all realising our impact on this world and things are changing, we are positive we can all work together to raise ourselves up from this self made situation we find ourselves in.
'For us it's all about having fun with friends in nature and that's definitely worth protecting.'
Artists
Ranulph Horne
Ranulph Horne is a Brighton based illustrator and designer. His early years were spent growing up on the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, before relocating south. After graduating in printmaking in 2010, he began working as a designer in the city. Ranulph's deep rooted inspiration comes from the ever changing landscape, history and culture of coastal life. His passion and drive continues to fuel his creative endeavours, from illustrating pieces of repurposed wood, engraving a handmade leather belt or cooking up some freshly caught fish on the beach. Ranulph has illustrated the 'Seamus' collection for BamBooBay.
